CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WOWK) — The West Virginia Governor’s Highway Safety Program (GHSP) is going on tour across the Mountain State.
The City of Huntington said in a release that the “Drive to Save Lives Tour” will visit several regional schools throughout March and April, spreading a message of “safety, leadership, and resilience.”
The tour features international speaker Cara Filler sharing her story of loss after her identical twin sister died in a crash, which inspired her to dedicate herself to youth advocacy.
“Through a blend of humor and deeply moving storytelling, Ms. Filler takes her audience on an emotional journey,” said Jack McNeely, Director of the GHSP. “Her goal is to transform tragedy
into a teaching moment, inspiring students to become positive role models in their communities.”
